Description
Chiang Mai Night Safari has over 1,400 animals from over 130 different species. There is plenty to see and do at this world-class zoological park.
You can explore the park on foot and by tram. The tram provides a closer look at the animals while walking along the designated trails provides a different perspective. In the past, you could feed the giraffes and other animals. Unfortunately, COVID-19 protocols currently restrict close contact with the animals. So holding them and feeding them isn’t possible.
The Night Safari in Chiang Mai has animals such as elephants, rhinos, zebras, and flamingos. You can also explore a section dedicated to nocturnal animals, such as bats, owls, and porcupines. They have different animal shows and even have a night predator show.
Aside from animal exhibits, the park also features shows and performances. They have a traditional Thai dance performance, a fire dance show, and a musical fountain show.
Chiang Mai Night Safari is open every evening. The park also has dining options, including a buffet dinner and a barbecue dinner. Pick up and drop off can be added if you are staying in or near Chiang Mai Old City. The tour includes the tram ride but does not include the Jaguar Trail.
The Night Safari is committed to the conservation and protection of endangered species. The park works closely with conservation organisations to protect animals and their habitats. They have successfully bred several endangered species in captivity and released them into the wild.
